Chandni Chowk , a 17th-century market, is one of the most popular shopping areas in Delhi for jewellery and Zari saris. Delhi's arts and crafts include, Zardozi —an embroidery done with gold thread and Meenakari —the art of enamelling.
Affairs
The New Delhi World Book Fair, held biennially at the Pragati Maidan, is the second-largest exhibition of books in the world.Delhi is often regarded as the "Book Capital" of India because of high readership. India International Trade Fair(IITF ), organised by ITPO is Asia biggest cultural and shopping fair ,which takes place in November each year and is visited by more than 15 lakh people.
I remembered the day when I have visited Trade fair- OH My God!, I uttered . Its too huge as if whole globe had come to one acre land. But yes, if you'll visit once's then you'll visit twice, thrice, like me (10 times ). That fair consist of whole Abroad entities. West Bengal sweetness, orissa's dance, Kerala dosa, Tamil sari's, Maharashtra mango, Gujarat Bandai, Rajasthan's Jhumka, and Kashmir paper craft. Its all accomplish under an Umbrella.
Education
Next I want tell you about is Education. DU's, IIT'S, etc are tossed in Delhi. There are about a thousand of schools, public and government both. All type of college's are there. Education is comfortable and good but abstract. Here government school students are as unique as private schools students. That means no discrimination on the basis of Gender, culture, society and intelligence. Delhi is an Alchemist for Indians- where problem came as solution.
Food
The fast living habits of Delhi's people has motivated the growth of street food outlets.A trend of dining at local dhabas popular among the residents. High-profile restaurants have gained popularity in recent years. Delhi street food is globally famous.
The Gali Paranthe Wali (the street of fried bread) is a street in Chandni Chowk particularly for food eateries since the 1870s. Almost the entire street is occupied by fast food stalls or street vendors . It has nearly become a tradition that almost every prime minister of India has visited the street to eat paratha at least once.
Go to any Street of Delhi, I'll bet you if you don't find a chatwalla. People of all ages whether it be children's, Teens, colleges, senior citizens, all enjoy the sweetness of Gulab jamun to chatpati chaats ( spicy snacks of Delhi ). If you'll ask a Delhite to guide you about a street or restaurants, he will make an endless names.
Other Indian cuisines are also available in this area even though the street specialises in north Indian food.
Culture
Delhi's culture has been influenced by its lengthy history and historic association as the capital of India, Although a strong Punjabi Influence can be seen in language, Dress and Cuisine brought by the large number of refugees who came following the partition in 1947 the recent migration from other parts of India has made it a melting pot. This is exemplified by many significant monuments in the city.
People's of Delhi (and of india) shares a unique friendship with different religions . Here culture goes hand in hand. People's follow each festival to remain happy. Whether it is HOLI- festival of colours to DIWALI -festivals of brightness in our life's , it's an amusing time for Indians. But it's a fact that each day is celebrated as Festival's. Every culture of India needs Delhi as promoters.
Let me give you one such look. The Qutub Festival is a cultural event during which performances of musicians and dancers from all over India are showcased at night, with the Qutub Minar as a backdrop.Other events such as Kite Flying Festival, International Mango Festival and Vasant Panchami (the Spring Festival) are held every year in Delhi.
